Project Details
The new main branch for Capital City Bank is a three-story structure located at the corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and Fifth Street in downtown Macon. This new branch complements an area of downtown Macon that has seen a variety of newly constructed buildings over the last few years. This unique building is supported on conventional shallow spread footings, with a steel superstructure composed of intermediate moment frames designed to resist wind and seismic forces. Other design features include a third floor balcony and a continuous breezeway along the front of the building at ground level. The building also features extended brick canopy walls beyond each wing of the building supported by steel framing on spread footings.
